Description We are incredibly giddy about the new Jan wig from Orchid Collection. Shoulder-length styles are really popular with our hair loss community, and if you throw some textured layers and beach waves into the mix, then you have an immediate best-seller! The relaxed beach waves create a natural, swingy silhouette, perfect for any occasion. Size and Fit Following are some approximate measurements too, so that you can estimate where the layers will finish against your own features. The fringe measures 11.5cm and can be worn swept to the side, or as an open fringe. Whichever you prefer. The crown layers are about 21.5cm, whilst the nape measures about 23cm. The nape length will give you lots of workable options, in that you can tie it into a ponytail should you fancy, or you may prefer to leave it, so the length touches just at shoulder level. Check out our wig size guide. Orchid Collection have classed this as an Average size cap, but there is always about an inch give at the nape. There are comfortable velcro adjusters, so that you can tighten and slacken the circumference should you wish to. Material and Construction The Jan wig has been created from synthetic materials, meaning the fibres have been made with artificial materials. There is a very small circle central monofilament area, measuring approximately 2cm x 2cm. A monofilament feature is designed to create an area where it looks like the hair is coming from your own actual scalp. The Simply Wigs teams have agreed, that as this particular 2cm x 2cm feature is so small, it doesn’t bring any massive benefits to the cap design other than added structure in this area. The monofilament section is then supported by material which is covered in a flower-patterned material. This patterned material helps to maintain some lift at the crown, rather than the fibre drooping.. The cap is an average size, with about an inch give at the nape. The ear tabs are open-wefted, which is a fabulous feature if you wear glasses. You will be able to slot the arm section of your glasses through the tab, which may provide you with some extra security. The permatease at the crown area of this cap is fabulous for creating volume and lift for the hair. This volume will stay with you all day every day due to this permatease meaning your hair won’t look flat and deflated. There is not a lace front, but we don't feel that this has a negative impact on the style, as the fringe naturally falls downwards, so there is no need to completely style away the fringe from your forehead. Finally, there are velcro adjusters at the nape to tighten or slacken the circumference of this average-sized wig. The weight of this style is approximately 3.6 oz. This is a very light wig, if you take into consideration the length and volume of the layers. You will be quite comfortable wearing this wig all day, every day, without feeling you have masses of hair suddenly on your head!
